Sun is up, Spring is in the air, time for the Caribou Splash cup ! Be part of this traditional event that take place in the south side base of the mountain. Try crossing 60 feet of cold spring water on your skis. Then, end up at the petit caribou bar for a shot to enjoy your accomplishment. Get noticed by dressing up silly ! Are you up for the cold shower of your life?

How does the Caribou Splash Cup work?

The Caribou splash cup starts on mid slope. The contestant, dressed the silliest way possible, will try to gather as much speed as they can on their board or skis to clear the artificially created 60 feet icy water pond at the bottom. The further they go, the crazier the crowd will go. After they get to the end or out of the pond they can celebrate with their fellow competitor having a free beer at the P’tit caribou bar.  As you probably expect, only a few are able to clear that pond, but in the end, it comes up to having fun and celebrating the arrival of spring.
