Take a Break and Enjoy Some Indoor Fun

Dec 28th, 2011 by deana | 0

There’s plenty of peace and quiet to enjoy once you’ve made the time to vacation at a ski resort.

Visiting the resort can be full of shopping, activities, skiing, and enjoying great restaurants but there is nothing wrong with a little pampering while staying in for the day. There are many reasons why you should probably take one day off while you are on vacation, so why not  just stay indoors and enjoy what your rental chalet in Mont Tremblant has to offer.   Send the family and kids out on the slopes and take the afternoon off and spoil yourself.  Here are a few things you can consider when staying with Tremblant Living.

How about starting the day with www.servicesarmonia.com .  There is nothing better than having your own private masseuse come to your chalet on a cold day and have her set up in a room of your choice. Get the perfect massage to rejuvenate your mental and physical well-being during the cold winter months. You can also choose a hot stone massage which can help create a deep sense of calmness and relaxation. Imagine having your massage table set up in front of a crackling fire with soothing music.  Why leave the comforts of your luxury property when you don’t have to.  Services Armonia  gives a 10% discount to all  guests staying with Tremblant Living.

Take advantage after your massage to relax  with a nice glass of wine and a good book in your private hot tub.  Soak in the fabulous scenery and the fresh air to top off the afternoon. How great does that sound?

There is no shortage of board games and every property has a pool table.  Why not play a couple of games before the private chef arrives for dinner.  Instead of eating out or cooking, have a catering company come and spoil your family and friends.  You would not believe how great this experience can be.  There are a few small businesses that offer this service like Les Garcons Poelés,  www.garconspoeles.com,  they can custom build your menu using local ingredients personalized to your tastes and they never disappoint.  To top it all off, they do the dishes!

It’s a perfect ending to a fabulous day and once you’ve had a wonderful travel experience like this you’ll be coming back for more every year!

The 24H of Tremblant 2011

Dec 12th, 2011 by deana | 1

What a fabulous week-end in Tremblant.  The 2011 edition of Tremblant’s 24h was a success once again.   The combination of the 24h NRJ Walk and the 24h of Ski Event raised $1,832,200.00.  Since the conception of the 24h, this race has managed to raise close to $10 million.

The locals were a bit worried prior to the weekend due to the major lack of snow.  Station Mont Tremblant really came together to exceed peoples expectations and did a fantastic job with snowmaking.  Over 500 volunteers from the community participated for the Charles Bruneau Foundation, which is a fantastic cause giving all children with cancer the best chance of recovery by financing research.

This year there were over 1800 participants and 2000 teams proving this event is getting bigger every year.

It all takes place at the base of the mountain in Tremblant Village.  The week-end started at noon on Saturday at the bottom of the resort were all the participants run up to the gondola  with their skis or snowboard in hand.  Once they get to the lift the 24h downhill event begins.

During the race the Plaza St-Bernard was filled with different sponsor tents and live music  performed on several stages.  There is a wonderful feeling in the air where people realize that we are all there for a great cause. This week-end in particular the sun was out, the weather wasn’t too cold, and it was yet again a great way to kick start the winter season.

The winning teams of the 2011 edition
Oven-Baked Tradition/Antonio Moreau – $71,152,15
Sennheiser – $63,328
Brookfield 1 – $62,271

Here are some photos of the week-end. Enjoy.
